Results reveal that religion affiliation has a significant influence on the emotional adjustment of transfer students {t(162)=3.37, p<0.05} but gender {t(162)=0.77, p>0.05} and age {F(2,161)=0.297, p>0.05} have no significant influence on emotional adjustment among transfer students. The authors conclude that
religious activities on campus have been able to provide a cushioning effect to transfer students who had emotional difficulties coping with their new departments.
